My girlfriend went away on a grant project to do research in Borneo. I couldn’t go with her, I felt like I would only be a tag along. Truthfully I felt like to go with her would be to fall short in my own ambitions. I know it sounds stupid now, in retrospect, but at the time I was too full inside my own head to see it that way.

I was going to places that were official tourist attractions and taking pictures of people being tourists. The idea that a person could turn into a tourist when they go on holiday is something that excited me. I wanted to find out more about the dueling identities that could take place at these attractions.

There is nothing beyond my own personal history. There is nothing beyond my own line of sight. There is nothing that I haven’t seen, touched, heard or smelt. I make the world as I move through it. I erase blackness as I see things. What I record will be the truth for all others who receive my record and choose to believe it. Startrek is real to some people. What happened in the middle ages? What really happened? What happened to who? The middle ages of what. Who can really say? Anyone can say what ever they want. Movement in cinema is an illusion it tricks us into its version of reality and from there on the rules are made to fit the agenda. It can touch us inside in places where we can’t usually go on our own and we trust it after that no matter what it tires to tell us we’ll trust it like a child to its mother. I can spell out things when I think hard about it but when I watch something that someone else spelled out it’s just a flash in front of me I cant figure how it happens its inside of me, I’m completely fooled and I feel different afterwards. Only with movies this happens, black magic mystery. It happens too fast I can’t keep up. People think it’s just for entertainment but their wrong. Its mind control, black magic mind control.
